§ 10-2. Relocation assistance.

  • If a public works project or redevelopment activity of the town requires acquisition of all or part of private property as a result of the content of the project, the town deems it necessary and desirable to administer the acquisition and relocation activities in accordance with the United States Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Regulations and any subsequent amendments as may be adopted, from time to time, which are not in conflict with state law and which relate to:

    (1)

    The standards for comparable housing.

    (2)

    The standards for decent, safe and sanitary dwellings.

    (3)

    Procedure for an aggrieved, displaced person to have his determination of eligibility or amount of payment reviewed.

    (4)

    The eligibility of displaced persons for relocation assistance payments, the procedure for such persons to claim such payments and the amounts of such payments.
