§ 10-292. Pipe size.
(a)
Minimum. No water main will be installed with less than the minimum pipe size dictated by good engineering practice, and in no case shall any water main be of less than the following:
Section lines ..... 12 inch diameter Half-section lines ..... 8 inch diameter All others ..... 6 inch diameter The town reserves the right to increase the diameter of the water main extension, if deemed advisable by good engineering practices.
(b)
Covering of mains. The water mains shall be laid with a cover of at least 36 inches.
(c)
Specifications for construction determined by town engineer. All water main construction shall be accomplished in accordance with the town standard details and uniform standard specifications for public works construction in force at the time of construction. In the event of conflicting documents, the more stringent shall govern, as determined by the town engineer.
