§ 14-353. Application investigation; renewal.

  • Any applicant for a license renewal shall personally appear at the office of the development services manager and shall present the application containing the information required by this article. The development services manager shall forward the application to the police department to investigate the application and the background of the applicant. Within 60 days, the police department shall recommend to the development services manager approval or denial of the license renewal, based upon the requirements of this chapter. If the application is not approved or denied within 65 days from the date on the application, the town shall be deemed to have approved the application. Upon renewal of a license, the police department shall conduct a records check through its records section to determine if the licensee has had any contact with the police department during the last five years.
