§ 1-88. Meetings to be public.

  • (a)

    All meetings of the council shall be open to the public. Notice of meetings shall be given in a manner consistent with state statutes. Upon approval by a majority vote of a quorum of the council made at a public meeting, the council may meet in a closed executive session for any purpose permitted by law.

    (b)

    Minutes of executive sessions shall be kept confidential except as otherwise provided by law.

    (c)

    No executive session may be held for the purpose of taking any legal action involving making a final vote or decision.
